Protege X Lifetime Warranty: Terms & Conditions
ICT manufactured equipment is automatically covered by a limited lifetime warranty as long as it is connected to an active subscription for the Protege X Cloud-Based Service within two years of the initial hardware purchase date.
Products that are covered by the lifetime warranty:
- ICT tSec Readers
- Protege DIN Rail Controllers
- Protege DIN Rail Modules (eg: RDM2, ZX16, IO84)
- ICT Power Supply Units (2amp, 4amp, and 8amp models)
Additional Terms & Conditions
The equipment must be connected to a Protege X Place for the entirety of the subscription, or be added to the subscription as an expansion of the initial Place.
Items must be returned in accordance with the standard RMA process, including adherence to any measures and guidance from ICT technical support or customer services teams, and the subscription service must remain active throughout.
With an active subscription, the Protege X lifetime warranty supersedes standard warranty timeframes, but does not replace any other standard product warranty terms and conditions offered by ICT.
The standard lifetime of ICT manufactured equipment is 10 years and ICT may, at its discretion, extend warranty coverage beyond the 10 year period, though it is not obliged to do so.
This warranty will only apply to ICT manufactured equipment that has been installed and serviced in accordance with ICT guidance, training and product manuals.
Any equipment not connected to a Protege X Place falls within ICT's standard product warranty terms and timeframes.
