APAC Regional Expansion and Changes
In line with ICT’s dedication to serving customers, we’re excited to announce the formation of our APAC (Asia-Pacific) team, along with the expansion of our team in Australia.
These changes highlight our commitment to delivering the best access control and security solutions to customers throughout the region.
Australia, New Zealand, and Asia will now sit together as one region, under the leadership of a newly created position: General Manager (APAC), led by Ben Italiano (former Country Manager, Australia).
For our partners and customers in each country, operations will continue as usual. Aidan Simons will now be the point of contact as the Regional Sales Manager for New Zealand, while Jacky Chow remains as Regional Sales Manager for Asia
Ben Italiano
General Manager - APAC
Formerly the Country Manager for Australia, Ben now steps into his new, expanded role as General Manager (APAC), overseeing operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, to drive growth and foster collaboration throughout these markets.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new position, Ben states that he “looks forward serving our current and future customers, and leading cross collaboration across the region with the APAC sales team.”
Aidan Simons
Regional Sales Manager - New Zealand
Former Business Development Manager/Product Champion, Aidan Simons, has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager (NZ). Many customers are already familiar with Aidan, who thrives off building and fostering strong relationships. He's enthusiastic to continue serving customers around the country and assisting them with their security solutions.

Daniel Joubert
Technical Trainer
Originally hailing from South Africa, Daniel spent time living and working in New Zealand before making for warmer weather in Melbourne where he’s been based for twenty years . He decided to pursue his love of technology 12 years ago and moved into the security industry, where he’s spent time in technical support, sales, and as a trainer. He’s excited to bring his experience and expertise to the ICT team and customers.
When not helping the next generation of installers and integrators, you can find Daniel spending time with his wife and 2 daughters who share his love of gaming, technology, and photography.
Matthew Trofa
Regional Sales Manager – Victoria & Tasmania
Matthew is passionate about leveraging technology to solve problems that enhance security and operational outcomes for his customers using his 13 years of experience in the electronic security industry.
Raised in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne, Matthew enjoys watching the Australian Football League, cricket, and spending time in nature.
Jason Ting
Regional Sales Manager – Victoria
With over 15 years in the electronic security industry, Jason has cultivated a deep passion for technology and innovative solutions. Known for a customer-centric approach, he enjoys building lasting relationships and tailoring solutions to meet clients’ unique needs.
Outside of work, Jason is an outdoor enthusiast – you’ll often find him out camping, searching for the best fishing spots, and exploring the great outdoors of Australia. Above all, spending quality time with family is his greatest joy.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are confident that these changes will strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional access control solutions across the APAC region. We look forward to continued success and welcome aboard Daniel, Jason, and Matthew!
