The Outcome
Thanks to the expertise of the Mammoth Security team, the City of New Britain has an expanded Protege GX system that will continue to secure their success, well into the future.
As Delgadillo says, “I'm looking for an access control system that is hardy, affordable, and easy to use. ICT definitely provides all of this.”
Now the Public Works Operations Center is online, Klimaszewski says, “I’m also looking forward to seeing the additional benefits this new facility will bring, such as streamlining the city’s storm/disaster responses.”
Single platform shows it’s strength
The City of New Britain now has a centralized location where all ICT comes back to the main hub at City Hall. As Delgadillo explains, “Even with multiple locations throughout the city that run off ICT, we can see what's going on at our main location and can monitor everything from there.”
“We get even more value with ICT access control in other city facilities. It means with just one card or one code, a person can access multiple different buildings and that’s a benefit for all city personnel.”
Flexible and user-friendly
“It’s great to have the City of New Britain on this single Protege GX platform. I love the flexibility of ICT whether it’s run on a local server or hosted in the cloud to provide even more cost-savings to the customer,” says Klimaszewski.
Delgadillo adds that the expanded system gives additional peace of mind in case the city’s internal IT network fails. “If there’s an issue, the ICT controller maintains its memory, so you can still access it even when the network's down.”
“I’d definitely recommend ICT to other municipalities, it’s such a user-friendly access system. We wish we could achieve this solution in all our facilities.”
