What's New in the Protege Mobile App?
The Protege Mobile App allows convenient, card-free access to unlock your door from your smartphone or mobile device. It also lets you monitor and control your business on the go. It's like having an access control, intrusion detection and building automation system in your pocket, and with the latest update, access gets even easier.
Released July 2023, version 1.0.8 of the Protege Mobile App can be found in the Apple and Google Play stores, bringing with it support for Protege X - ICT's cloud-based solution. Control places and setup push notifications right to your phone for complete mobile oversight.
As of November 2022, the Protege Mobile App has undergone some language enhancements. The app now automatically detects and uses the set language of the mobile device (as long it's a supported language), rather than the language set in the Protege WX or GX system.

- New: Dutch
- English
- Estonian

Why use Protege Mobile for access control?
With the tap of a finger, you can connect to any of your sites, check the status, arm or disarm, control lights, locks, signage, heating – even cameras – from anywhere, at any time. Mobile credentials also provide the flexibility and added convenience of card-free access from your device. No more issues with lost or forgotten cards and tags – simply present your mobile device within range of the reader to gain entry.
Other benefits include no more extra trips back to the office or nights awake worrying whether you set the alarm before you left the office. And with just a couple of taps on your way to work, you can turn the heating and lights on, transforming a cold, dark office into a warm and inviting environment.
With smartphones so widespread, there are few barriers to adoption. People are familiar with using technology such as payWave or Apple Pay, meaning very little education is needed to ensure correct usage. And by using technology that people always have on them, your access control solution becomes even less obtrusive than having to remember an access card.

What's New?
New Manual Commands feature
Manual Commands allow further control of your site in addition to standard features such as lock/unlock or arm/disarm. Pressing the ellipsis [...] icon from the Doors, Areas, Sensors, and Controls pages now brings up additional options enabling full control via the app.
Security Settings menu changed to Account Settings
The Security Settings menu has been renamed to represent more clearly what is inside. In the new Account Settings menu, you now have options for Changing the Security Level, Changing your PIN, Deleting your PIN, Deleting Your Account.
Delete Account option added
In accordance with GDPR requirements, you can now permanently delete your mobile account and remove all information associated with it from the app. Note that once confirmed, this option cannot be undone and you will need to establish a new account should you wish to use the app again.
Update to Delete PIN option
Selecting the Delete PIN option now only deletes the PIN - no other settings are changed. After confirming this option, your PIN is deleted and you will be logged out of the app. When you next log in, you will be prompted to select a new PIN and set the security level.
