The integration between Protege GX and Optex Redwall laser scan detectors enables you to effectively secure your assets and protect your people while reducing false alarms and the need for unnecessary guard call outs.

Redwall detectors work by constantly emitting laser beams at a target once they sense movement, to identify an objects size, speed, and distance from the device. They then process that information with a unique algorithm, resulting in a highly reliable detection system with minimal false alarms.

How it works

The detectors communicate with a Protege GX Controller via Ethernet to interface seamlessly with Protege GX.

Detectors are configured as input expanders within Protege GX. The inputs and trouble inputs associated with the detectors are mapped to specific Redwall event codes, enabling you to monitor the state of the detectors. As the states change, these inputs can also generate alarms within Protege GX.
